 The Consulate-General of Japan in Jeddah, in cooperation with Saudi Association of Japan Graduates and Associates (SAJGA), hosted on Thursday 6th June the Second Reunion Dinner for Former Students Studying in Japan.
 
 Around 30 former students in Japan including professors, doctors and master degree holders in various fields and Japanese residents in Jeddah attended the Reunion held in the Residence of Consul- General of Japan in Jeddah.
 
 Consul-General Mr. Yamamoto, in his speech, welcomed the participating former students and shared with them about his experience in the Middle East region, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a diplomat. He also expressed his appreciation for their efforts as students studying in Japan. He said that the number of Saudi students studying in Japan has continued to be largest scale in the Middle East region and the former student will be expected to have an important role in developing and strengthening Japanese-Saudi relations and to be a hub connecting Japan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through sharing their experience in Japan with young generation of the local community.
 
 Each former students were invited to speak about themselves and their experience in Japan as a student as well as works and activities in Jeddah as a member of the community.
 
 In the event, a short movies of EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai was played and some participants expressed to revisit Japan near future. Japanese foods including nigiri Sushi, cooked by chef of Consul-General Yamamoto, were served for the participants.
 
 The former students studying in Japan and Japanese residents in Jeddah shared their experience in Japan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and exchanged views about similarity and difference between the communities in the two countries.
