News on Visa Application
- From December 4, 2023, Saudi Arabian nationals who meet certain financial requirements are eligible for Multiple-entry visas for short-term stay for the purpose of tourism, business, visiting relatives or friends etc. (Period of stay for each visit: 90 days, Validity: 3 years). For more information, please see "For Applicants of Multiple Entry Visa (for Individual with considerable financial capacity)" in our Via page.
*The Applicants for this Muptiple-entry visas are required to visit the Consulate-General of Japan to submit the application. For a single-entry visa for tourism, you can choose Japan eVISA as below.
- All nationals who reside in Saudi Arabia are now able to apply for a tourist visa online through the JAPAN eVISA website. If you are in a hurry, however, please visit the Consulate-General of Japan to submit the application (consular office). If you already submitted the application through JAPAN eVISA and want to apply through the consular office, you need to withdraw your applicaion in the system. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your understanding and cooperation.
- For more information on online visa application, please refer to the JAPAN eVISA website. We are unable to answer specific questions regarding the length of time it will take to issue a visa.

- All travelers to Japan are not currently required to provide either a 'negative test certificate from a test taken within 72 hours prior to departure' or 'proof of vaccination (3 times)'. For more information, please check the latest modification of border measures (PDF).

- Visit Japan Web: A web service that people entering to Japan（and Japanese returning to Japan）can use for Immigration and Customs procedures in order to enter/return to Japan (What is Visit Japan Web?).
