The opening ceremony of the Japanese Art Exhibition “Manga Hokusai Manga: Approaching the Master’s Compendium from the Perspective of Contemporary Comics” in Jeddah

On February 16, H.E. Mr. Daisuke Yamamoto, Consul General of Japan in Jeddah, attended the opening ceremony of the Japanese art exhibition “Manga Hokusai Manga: Approaching the Master’s Compendium from the Perspective of Contemporary Comics” at Beit Amir Al-Bahar, Jeddah Historic District.
During his speech in the opening ceremony, Consul-General Yamamoto said that this exhibition is a commemorative event of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Saudi Arabia and expressed his hope that this exhibition will be opportunity to introduce Japanese culture in Saudi Arabia.
A Representative of Ministry of Culture referred to the concert of Saudi Arabian Orchestra in Japan last year and the leadership of KSA is having intention to hold such cultural events featuring partnership of the two countries and reflecting diversity of the two countries.
The exhibition is organized in cooperation with Jeddah Historic District and the Japan Foundation and is open to public at Beit Amir Al-Bahar, Cultural Square, Jeddah Historic District until March 8th, 2025.
