Courtesy Call of Consul-General Yamamoto on Jeddah Mayor

On August 21, Consul-General Yamamoto paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Saleh bin Ali Al-Turki, Jeddah Mayor. The outline of the meeting is as follows:
Consul-General Mr. Yamamoto stated that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries, and we would like to celebrate this anniversary by holding various events in cooperation with Saudi government agencies and private companies. He also expressed his desire to cooperate with the mayor, to further develop bilateral cooperation in a wide range of fields.
Consul-General Mr. Yamamoto requested the mayor to provide assistance in creating an environment that makes it easy for Japanese companies to operate in Saudi Arabia and the safety of Japanese residents and visitors in Jeddah.
In response, Mayor stated that Saudi Arabia and Japan have enjoyed a excellent relationship, and that he welcome Japanese companies and its activities by Japanese people in Jeddah.
