Hayy Matsuri: A Japanese Cultural Festival to be held from January 8 to 10

The third edition of “Hayy Matsuri” will be held at Hayy Jameel in Jeddah from January 8 to 10. “Hayy Matsuri” is a large cultural festival promoting and celebrating Japanese and Saudi tradition, culture, and arts in a contemporary and interactive way. Two UK-based music units, Tokyo Riddim Band and Frank Chickens, will have live sessions respectively in the festival. The members of Franck Chicken will present various performance including Sanshin* Live Session by Ms. Yuko Tsubame.
* The sanshin is a traditional Okinawan stringed instrument.
Consulate-General of Japan in Jeddah will arrange a traditional tea ceremony demonstration, Ikebana (flower arrangement), Washoku and Mochi-tsuki experience and Japanese calligraphy during the festival at Salaat Hayy.
