The Third Session of "Evening of Japanese Language and Culture", a yearly cultural program in 2025-26

On February 15, the Consulate-General of Japan in Jeddah held the third session of the "Evening of Japanese Language and Culture", a yearly cultural programme organized by the Consulate-General in 2025-26 in cooperation with Akiba Cafe in Jeddah.  

This time, the Consulate-General again invited Mr. Ryutaro Saiki, a Japanese language teacher residing in Jeddah, to deliver his lecture related to “Kanji(Chinese characters in Japanese language)”. 

From Mr. Saiki, the origins and characteristics of Japanese kanji were introduced, and participants commented that they learned about the origins of kanji for the first time and found it very informative.
