The graduation ceremony and closure of the Japanese School in Jeddah

On 5 March, Ceremonies of the Japanese school in Jeddah for graduation, its closure and farewell for the dispatched teachers were held at the Library of the Consulate-General of Japan in Jeddah, with Consul-General Yamamoto, the President of the Japanese Association in Jeddah, parents of a graduated student, and others in attendance.
Consul-General Yamamoto presented a certificate of commendation to Dr. Hamid Al Mutabagani, the landlord of the Jeddah Japanese School, for his long-standing cooperation in the school's activities and his contribution to the friendship and goodwill between Japan and Saudi Arabia, during a series of ceremonies.
The Jeddah Japanese School was approved by the Japanese government in 1975 and has sent off 130 elementary school graduates and 26 junior high school graduates to date. After a journey more than 50 years, the last graduates have left the nest. Jeddah Japanese School will close on March 31st of this year.
