On October 13, Mr. YAMAMOTO Daisuke, Consul General of Japan in Jeddah, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), who assumed office in August this year. As Representative of the Government of Japan to the OIC, Consul General Yamamoto delivered a congratulatory message from H.E. Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the friendly relations and cooperation between Japan, Islamic countries, and the OIC, as well as the regional situation, among other issues.
